Groundwork Member – Lois T

I was introduced to Groundwork Fitness at a U3A Ageing seminar. Tim Roberts AM Emeritus Professor at the University of Newcastle and Karl Versteeg owner of Groundwork Fitness were presenters at the seminar. Their presentations were my inspiration to join Groundwork Fitness. 

 I had tried a couple of Gyms but was not impressed with the venues or the lack of assistance to exercise the body correctly. 

Karl the owner and Groundwork Fitness turned out to be exceptional. 

The weight training programme is amazing . The only weight training I have ever done is lifting grandkids. Karl is an amazing instructor, professional and caring with a sense of humour. I never thought at 77 I would or could lift a 50 kg deadlift after a few months of training. 

The facilities at the Groundworks Gym are excellent, a great range of exercise equipment over two floors. Bikes, treadmills, rowing machines, all the equipment you need for  weight training. Lovely modern and clean exercise area, bathroom facility, towels, coffee machine, filtered water, a happy atmosphere. A BIG plus is the  excellent personal training by Karl , it ticks all the boxes.
